Joe's Test Kitchen Terms of Use
Effective 9 September 2026.
1. Who you are agreeing with
These terms are an agreement between you and Popquarry Productions Limited Liability Company, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. They cover the Joe's Test Kitchen app for iPhone and iPad, the cookbook, the website at joestestkitchen.com, and the community inside the app.
By using any of them you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use them.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 to use the app, and at least 18 to buy a membership or post to the community. Joe's Test Kitchen is offered in the United States only.
3. What Joe's Test Kitchen does, and what it does not do
It gives you recipes with amounts, temperatures and timings, tools for cooking them, shopping and planning lists, a way to keep your own notes and photos, and an optional community.
It does not cook for you, and it cannot see your kitchen. Ovens run hot or cold, pans differ, ingredients vary, and altitude changes things. Times and temperatures in a recipe are a starting point and a guide, not a guarantee.
4. Food safety, allergies and health
You are responsible for what you cook and eat. Nothing in Joe's Test Kitchen is medical, dietary or nutritional advice.
- Allergies and intolerances are yours to check. Read the ingredients yourself every time. Recipes, substitutions and community posts may not list every allergen, and an ingredient you buy may contain something the recipe does not mention.
- Cook food to a safe internal temperature. Follow current food-safety guidance from a public health authority, such as the United States Department of Agriculture, for meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, and for cooling and storing leftovers.
- Cooking is dangerous. Heat, hot oil, steam, knives, and electrical equipment can cause serious injury or fire. Use equipment as its manufacturer instructs.
- If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are cooking for someone who is, ask a qualified professional rather than relying on a recipe.
- Any nutritional figure shown is an estimate and may be wrong.
5. Membership, price and automatic renewal
Some features may require a paid membership. If they do, all of the following apply.
- The price, the length of the period and what is included are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A membership renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- We may change the price. A change applies from the next period, and Apple will tell you before it takes effect.
6. How to cancel, and refunds
Cancel in your Apple Account: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not shorten the period you already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.
We cannot issue refunds ourselves. Apple takes the payment, so Apple handles refunds, at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refuses and you think that is wrong, email us and we will help where we can.
Cancelling does not delete the notes and photos stored on your device.
7. What you put in
Your notes, your photos and your posts remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
When you publish something to the community, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it inside Joe's Test Kitchen, for as long as you leave it published. That licence exists so we can show your post to other users. It ends when you delete the post, except for copies already made by other users or required for backups or legal records.
You confirm that anything you post is yours to post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Your private notes and private photos are not covered by that licence. We do not use them.
8. The community, and acceptable use
The community only works if people behave. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not post or do any of the following.
- Content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, or that targets a person or group because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Sexual content, nudity, graphic violence, or content that sexualises a minor in any way.
- Content that promotes self-harm, illegal drug use, or any other illegal activity.
- Anyone else's personal information, or a photograph of a person who has not agreed to it.
- Spam, advertising, or bulk or automated posting.
- Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting who you are.
- Anything that infringes copyright, trademark or another right.
- Interfering with the service, or trying to reach parts of it you are not entitled to.
How to report something. Use the report control shown on a post, a reply or a photo in the app, or email support@popquarry.com. We aim to review every report within 24 hours and to remove content that breaks these rules, and to remove the account that posted it where that is warranted.
Blocking. You can block another user in the app. Blocking hides their posts and replies from you and stops them replying to you.
We may remove content, suspend an account, or end access, without notice where the content or behaviour is severe. We do not have to explain every decision, and we are not obliged to monitor everything, but we act on what is reported to us.
9. The cookbook and the website
The recipes, photographs, text and design of Joe's Test Kitchen belong to Popquarry Productions Limited Liability Company. You may cook from them, keep your own notes about them, and share a recipe with a person you know.
You may not republish the collection or a substantial part of it, sell it, or use it to train a machine learning system, without our written permission.
Buying the cookbook gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and cook from it. It does not transfer copyright.
10. Our part
We will make a reasonable effort to keep the service available and working, to fix problems that are reported, and to give notice before a change that materially reduces what you get.
11. Disclaimer
Except where the law does not allow it, Joe's Test Kitchen is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a recipe will produce a particular result.
12. Limit of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Popquarry Productions Limited Liability Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising out of your use of Joe's Test Kitchen.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Joe's Test Kitchen is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Ending it
You may stop using Joe's Test Kitchen at any time, and delete the app. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms. Sections 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14 survive the end of this agreement.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will change the effective date above. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Joe's Test Kitchen after that means you accept the change.
16. If you got the app from Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation at all.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability, any failure to meet a legal requirement, and any claim under consumer protection or privacy law.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes that party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo, or designated as a terrorist supporting country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and on your acceptance Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
17. General
If a provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to a successor of the business. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Joe's Test Kitchen.
